ANALISIS KEPEMIMPINAN DAN MOTIVASI KERJA SERTA PENGARUHNYA
TERHADAP KINERJA GURU
(STUDI KASUS GURU SMPN 5 BANDAR LAMPUNG)

Abstract : Performance of teachers in Bandar Lampung SMPN 5 is strongly influenced by the factors of leadership and motivation of the principal, because without the participation of the principal's level of success of programs already planned not to get maximum results. The study was conducted in Bandar Lampung SMPN 5 Bandar Lampung by distributing questionnaires to 56 respondents coupled with direct observation of reality. From the results of hypothesis testing the value of R Square of 0.729, meaning that together the leadership variables (X1) and motivation (X2) has positive and significant impact on teacher performance (Y) of 72,9%, testing the hypothesis of rising 1 percent to leadership variables (X1) has positive and significant impact on teacher performance (Y) of 0.454%, variable work motivation (X2) has positive and significant impact on teacher performance (Y) of 0.803% at SMPN 5 Bandar Lampung. So the conclusion is the influence of leadership and motivation of the principal work together and individually have a significant effect on the performance of SMPN 5 Bandar Lampung teachers Bandar Lampung. Based on the above conclusion the authors recommend that school principals should strive to increase the participation of every teacher, was given the opportunity to develop themselves through formal and non formal education, giving awards to each teacher who excel so that every teacher is more motivated to improve their professionalism.
